Maritimes Museum Hamburg<p>On November the 15th we will be opening a small exhibition on deck 2 dedicated to the centenary of the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Chilehaus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Chilehaus</span></a> one of the most iconic buildings of <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Hamburg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hamburg</span></a>. The exhibition starts with an introduction of how the businessman Henry B. Sloman came to have the Chilehaus built. It all has to do with the saltpetre trade from Chile. This magnificent painting, that is one of the many loans for the exhibition that we have from the Sloman family, illustrates that background perfectly.</p>
