"Snow White," starring Rachel Zegler, will be released this Friday. It's become an internet punchbag for conservatives, largely because of comments that Zegler has made over the past couple of years. First, she annoyed die-hard fans by referring to the 1937 movie as "dated" and the prince as "a guy who literally stalks" her character. Then, she drew criticism for her support of Palestine, while her co-star Gal Gadot attracted ire for her support of Israel. And finally, she posted on Instagram after the U.S. election to say she hoped Trump and his voters "may never know peace." Disney has responded by pulling back on some of its promotion for the movie — limited press at the L.A. premiere and no U.K. launch at all. Conan O'Brien is coming back next year as host of the Oscars, which will be held on March 15 2026. Das Studio Filmtheater in #Kiel zeigt am 29.03. den Arthouse-Horrorfilm "Possession". Ich kann da leider nicht, der ist aber wirklich etwas Besonderes, solltet ihr euch geben.

Humor haben sie ja beim SWR. Stellen sie doch Mitte März einen Film in ihre Mediathek, der nicht nur ein ultimatives Roadmovie ist, sondern auch ein ultimativer Sommerfilm – und ein überaus würdiger Nachfolger von Fatih Akins „Tschick“. Was wiederum eines der schönsten Roadmovies und Sommerfilme aller Zeiten für mich ist. Aufmerksame Leser:innen wissen, wie sehr ich den Film verehre. (ARD)

Yesterday I finally watched the movie "Longlegs" with Nicolas Cage. An actor whom I really like. Especially now that he's getting older, the parts he gets in movies become more and more fascinating.
Besides this fantastic movie, which is a kind of its own, I also love the movie "RENFIELD" very much. In this movie Nicolas Hould is also starring and the movie is pure fun.
There are not many good horror movies around theses days. These are two of them...

Man spürt förmlich, wie sie an ihre Grenzen gerät, unter Druck Fehler macht und zunehmend erschöpft ist. Einige ihrer Aufgaben erscheinen zwar etwas unrealistisch für ihren Berufsalltag, aber das hat mich nicht gestört. Ich hoffe nur, dass die Realität nicht ganz so drastisch aussieht. Denn wenn man bedenkt, wie viele Pflegekräfte in den nächsten Jahren fehlen werden, macht einem das schon Angst – krank und alt möchte man da lieber nicht werden.

Am Freitag habe ich einen großartigen Film gesehen, der mich nachhaltig beeindruckt hat. Er spielt in der Schweiz und begleitet eine Krankenschwester durch ihren hektischen Arbeitsalltag im Krankenhaus. Die Kamera ist dabei stets an ihrer Seite, wodurch man das Gefühl bekommt, hautnah dabei zu sein. Obwohl es sich um einen Spielfilm und nicht um eine Dokumentation handelt, wirkt alles unglaublich authentisch – vor allem dank der großartigen Hauptdarstellerin.

Jane Campion, Holly Hunter – „Das Piano“ (1993)
Diesen Film heute, über 30 Jahre später, erneut anzuschauen, bedeutet für mich, ihn auf eine neue Weise zu sehen. Denn ich bin nicht mehr der Mann, der ich Anfang der Neunziger gewesen bin. Ich habe viele Dinge erfahren, gesehen und gelernt, von denen ich damals noch nichts ahnen konnte. Und doch war mir damals schon klar, dass ich diesen Film wohl nie mehr vergessen können würde. (ARD)
David Fincher – „Fight Club“ (1999)
Ob Sie diesen Gewaltporno jetzt als Kultfilm feiern oder als fragwürdigen Kino-Exzess ablehnen, liegt ganz bei Ihnen. Regisseur Fincher war nie einer, der es uns im Kinosessel gemütlich machen wollte. Seit den 90ern ist er vielleicht etwas weniger kontrovers unterwegs.
